Abstract: Extreme weather conditions and events, driven by climate change, are making it difficult for the electric industry to continue delivering reliability and resilient service. Changing electric supply and demand technologies are changing faster than regulatory processes and market mechanisms can adapt, and customers — particularly those in under-served communities — are paying the price through bills, outages, health, and other valuable currencies. This presentation will clarify some of these challenges and solutions.
