Date: 9 April 2018
Time: 12:00pm
Location: Baker 129 Conference Room
Speaker: Shalini Vajjhala
Topic: Setting a Trillion Dollar Policy Agenda: Challenges and Opportunities for Resilient Infrastructure Design and Finance
Abstract: Infrastructure investment has been a focus of national debates for the past several years. Although calls for increased funding continue to grow, there are still large gaps between federal policy proposals and on-the-ground project implementation. This talk will provide examples of barriers to implementing a trillion dollar national infrastructure agenda, highlight opportunities for cross-sector infrastructure innovation, and note areas where new data and research will be critical to driving future investment.
