CEDM Researchers’ Work Cited in White House Council of Economic Advisers’ Report on Power Outages

CEDM affiliates Paul Hines and Jay Apt’s research (with Sarosh Talukdar) on power outages and Costa Samaras’ work (with Henry Willis) on energy security at Department of Defense installations were both cited in a recent report issued by the White House Council of Economic Advisers.

The report estimates the annual economic cost of weather-caused power outages and highlights ways that the power grid can be strengthened through the adoption of a combination of infrastructure and technology improvements.

Congratulations to all!
