“Energy use and life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of drones for commercial package delivery” Co-Authored by Samaras Receiving Media Attention

After over two years under review, the paper Energy use and life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of drones for commercial package delivery has been cited by media outlets like Wired, Forbes, and The Guardian in light of its release. The paper discusses the use of drones to deliver packages in an effort to reduce environmental impacts we see in the freight sector. These impacts include reduced greenhouse gases and energy use in comparison to the freight sector. Many articles include quotes by Carnegie Mellon University Civil and Environmental Engineering professor Costa Samaras.
