Stefan Schwietzke
Stefan’s research focuses on the atmospheric impacts of life cycle greenhouse gas emissions from natural gas and biofuels. His current project investigates fugitive methane emissions from the natural gas industry using globally distributed measurements over the past three decades. Stefan received his engineering diploma (Dipl.-Ing.) from the University of Stuttgart in Germany where he majored in Mechanical Engineering and Technology Management. During his degree, he was a research assistant at Purdue University’s Laboratory of Renewable Resources Engineering for 18 months. He also interned in the automotive industry including Daimler AG, Porsche AG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers AG in areas ranging from quality management to strategy consulting.
